Turkey Visa from Ghana — e-Visa & Sticker Visa (2026)
Turkey is one of the top business and shopping destinations for Ghanaians — Istanbul's Laleli and Merter districts are a magnet for traders importing clothing, fabrics and electronics. Most Ghanaians must apply for a sticker visa at the Turkish Embassy in Accra, but a narrow group qualifies for the cheaper e-Visa online.

Can Ghanaians get a Turkey e-Visa?
A regular Ghanaian passport is not eligible for the standard Turkey e-Visa. However, you qualify if you hold a valid visa or residence permit from:
- The USA, UK, Ireland, or any Schengen country
- That document must be valid for the entire duration of your stay in Turkey
If you qualify, the e-Visa is issued in minutes at evisa.gov.tr for USD 60 (single entry, 30 days). You print it and carry it with your passport.
Diplomatic and service passports follow a separate bilateral arrangement and are visa-free for short stays.

- Business visa: USD 165

Tips for traders and frequent travellers
- If you trade regularly, apply for a multiple-entry visa from the start — the unit fee is much lower per trip.
- Carry copies of previous Turkish entry/exit stamps when renewing — strong travel history is the single biggest approval factor.
- Customs at Istanbul Airport (IST and SAW) inspects Ghanaian traders' luggage closely. Keep all supplier invoices to declare goods properly on return at Kotoka.
- Avoid agents who promise approval in 3–5 days — sticker visas always go through Ankara security clearance.
